Welcome to our First Post

I am Debbie, one of the founders of Sew Sweet Angel Gowns and I am the person you talk to and replies to your messages.

First and foremost, thank you for following and supporting us in our endeavor to provide comfort to grieving families.

A little of our history, Our first Facebook post was September 1, 2017, on my Facebook page to gather donated wedding gowns..( and had collected 100 gowns by January 1st). We became a corporation in January 2018 and then a non profit 501c3 in June of 2018. We have since collected over 500 dresses, created over 300 sew sweet angel gowns and distributed about 200 of them so far.

We feel it is important to share our many blessings, we could not have done it alone:

-Over 40 volunteers monthly helping us at our community sew day, or serving at home

-Bridgeway Community Church has allowed us to use the church the first Saturday every month for our community sew day

-Financial donations that have kept us growing

-Meal donations for our community sew day to feed our volunteers

What can you do???

-Pray, for the hurting families, "He heals those who have a broken heart. He heals their sorrows." Psalm 147:3

-Serve, Join us the first Saturday of each month

-Notify us of a need for an angel gown, If you know of an institution that would like to provide this free gift to their families, please contact us.

Much love,

Debbie and the Sew Sweet Crew
